Lagrein (pronounced “Lah-grine”) is a native grape of Alto-Adige known for powerful, highly structured wines that have robust tannins and unique spicy/fruity/smoky flavors which require years in the bottle to develop.
But if you're like us — and not always trying to wait the next 5-10 years to open something, the 'Rubeno' from Kellerei-Cantina Andrian is your answer: with bright fruit and silky, well-integrated tannins, it's a delicious and unusually easygoing lagrein that's ready to drink tonight.
Fermentation in stainless steel; MLF & ageing in large oak casks for 6 months.
