France : Loire Valley
DRY, ORCHARD FRUIT, TOASTY, HONEY, SOME OAK
Trees over 100 years old producing expressive fruit that make for a truly amazing cider! Lush golden apple and pear notes, caramel, and spice.
Israel : Judean Hills
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah
FULL BODIED, DARK FRUIT, COCOA, SMOKY, ELEGANT, OAK PRESENT
Aged in French oak for 12 months, this robust wine has plenty of black fruit and herbal notes on its rich nose, in addition to the earthiness. There is some smoky oak to the dark fruit backed by a bold tannic structure.
With help from the spirits and cocktail historian David Wondrich, Plantation Distillery tried to revive this forgotten nectar.
They relied on several ancient recipes, and added a few traditional techniques from their own bag of tricks. The 1824 English Journal of Patent and Inventions and the 1844 Journal of Agricultural Socity were their main sources of inspiration--along, of course, with Mr. Dickens.
They infused ripe Queen Victoria pineapples in rich, aged Plantation Original Dark Rum for 3 months. Meanwhile, they macerated, also in rum, the bare rind of the fruit (where the pineapple's essential oil chiefly resides) and then distilled it, creating a bright pineapple essence to blend with the lushness of the infused Plantation rum.

LIGHT-MEDIUM BODIED, RED FRUIT, CRISP, SOFT TANNIN, NEUTRAL OAK
From the valley between the French and Italian Alps, the region is known more for ski resorts than grapes. However this wine is worth the effort. Red fruit and spice intertwine with earth and soft tannins to create a lovely red, even better with a chill.
California : Santa Cruz Mountains
MEDIUM-BODIED, RED/DARK FRUIT, SMOOTH TANNINS, SMOKE, OAK
On the lighter side of medium-bodied, with more dark fruits than red berries. This elegant pinot noir has very smooth tannins, with just a hint of earth, minerality, and smoke. Noticeably crisp acidity cuts tannins and makes this a great option for big meals.
