Winemaker Meghan Zobeck ferments with native yeast and ages 22 months in French oak barrique — 15% new, 85% neutral — letting the mountain character drive the wine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2018 vintage was unusually cool and slow — harvest ran 1–2 weeks late as extended sunshine built complexity without heat spikes. Vinous awarded 92 points on release: “a powerful, old-school wine… dark cherry, plum, scorched earth, game, licorice and tar.” Seven years on, the tannins have integrated and the wine is showing serious depth.
