HUNGARY : TOKAJ
Furmint
LIGHT-BODIED, FLORAL, CITRUS, PEAR, CHALK, MINERAL, DRY, NO OAK
Spread over 250 acres of mineral-rich volcanic land in the south-west of the Tokaj region, the Disnókő estate has played a key role in restoring the region’s reputation back to the days when it was “the wine of kings and king of wines” (Louis XIV). Their Dry Furmint is refreshingly elegant, with a palate full of exotic fruits and a mineral, salty, finish.
