ITALY : PIEDMONT : LANGHE
MED-FULL-BODIED, APRICOT, PEACH, CITRUS, WILDFLOWER, HONEY, STONE, SALT, SAGE, ROSEMARY, ALMOND, OAK
Valter Fissore and Nadia Cogno work with historical, indigenous varietals (nebbiolo, barbera, dolcetto, and nascetta) to produce beautiful and strictly traditional wines that honor their family heritage as well as the unique flavors and styles of Langhe wines. Because Langhe Nascetta did not gain DOC status until 2010, “Anas-Cëta” is actually a "fantasy name" which combines “Nascetta” and “Anascetta” (the grape’s dialectical name), made up by Valter to express his frustration with Italian labeling laws.
Deep and complex, "Anas-Cëta" is a fuller-bodied white that retains freshness with bright acid, fruit, and a distinct mineral saltiness. Partial ferment in stainless steel & Slovenian oak; aged for 6 months in stainless steel with 30% in large Slovenian oak barrels. Drink now or keep for the next 5-10 years!
