Mauricio Veloso Estuardo started Escándalo in 2013 after realizing the untapped potential of the many beautiful yet long-forgotten vineyards throughout Chile. Today, he searches for and revitalizes these abandoned plots, creating beautiful, rustic wines via traditional vineyard work and natural winemaking; this deeply lush and savory Carignan comes from a few small plots of ancient vines, some as old as 200 years!
