Named “Fratelli D’Italia” — Brothers of Italy — this amaretto was made to honor the Italian immigrant tradition. Where most amaretti hedge with apricot pits, Caffo uses 100% estate-grown Sicilian almonds: the result is cleaner, truer to the nut, and noticeably less synthetic than the category leaders.

The Caffo family has been distilling in Calabria since the late 19th century, now in its fourth generation. Bar manager Rob Vogel (Monarque, Baltimore) puts it plainly: “Much less expensive than some of the more popular name brands, and best of all, does not taste artificial.”
