This Domaine is located in the most prestigious area of Bas-Armagnac, Sables Fauves, renown for its elegant Armagnacs with great aging potential. Aged one year in new Gascon barrels and then moved into older barrels of the same type for the remainder of its aging. The youngest spirit here is ten years of age and no additives or coloring is used.
Nose is full of vibrant fruit, orange, and caramel which meld onto the palate with prune and vanilla rounding out the flavor profile with a incredibly long finish.
A beautiful Cognac made with grapes exclusively from the Grande Champagne region of Cognac and aged an average of 6 years in barrel (as opposed to the 2 and a half years required). The vigneron and distiller practices very little battonage which, along with the longer aging time, produces a very delicate and fresh brandy that has a nice purity of flavor.
Grand Champagne Cognac that has been awarded Gold and Silver medals four times since the year 2000 at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris. It's no wonder, this Cognac shows slight vanilla and wood in the nose with floral accents and on the palate one gets baked apple with cinnamon, custard and a delicate acidity.
