Fresh, juicy, and a touch rustic carbonic 100% Gamay from Chateau Cambon, a joint venture between the epically (yes, epically) celebrated estates of Marcel Lapierre and Joseph Chamonard (both are considered fathers of the natural wine movement) to produce amazing, completely natural Beaujolais. Grapes are sourced from vineyards located between Morgon and Fleurie.
Unfiltered, unfined, and unsulphured.

The smallest (in terms of land) and perhaps least well-known of the Beaujolais “crus,” Chénas produces some great inexpensive wines that prove the depth and weight gamay can carry.
This example from Domaine des Bruyères has lots of red/black fruit and fresh acidity, but goes beyond the "easy drinking" category, offering stony minerality and firm, yet gentle, medium tannins.

If this wine was an emotion, it’d be happy. Full of youth and airy berry aromatics, the nose is more than welcoming. The palate is fruity though light acidity teeters between notes of strawberry and savory cherry tomato. Touch of sweetness on the end, because, well... it is Beaujolais afterall.
