FRANCE : BEAUJOLAIS : MORGON — CORCELETTE

SUSTAINABLE : Gamay

MED-FULL-BODIED, BLACK CHERRY, IRON, WET STONE, KIRSCH, NEUTRAL OAK

Daniel Bouland is among the handful of growers who make Morgon feel more like Burgundy than Beaujolais — structured, mineral, and cellarable. Corcelette is a sandy-granite lieu-dit that produces Gamay of unusual depth and grip, old vines planted in 1925, hand-worked on steep slopes where no tractor goes. Minimal intervention, bottled without fining or filtration.

La Revue du Vin de France awarded 96 points. Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, gave 93 points and a 5-Star rating: “Morgon depth and fine tannins, a superb wealth of dark red fruit yet still with the exceptional elegance of Daniel Bouland wines.” Drink 2027–2035, or hold considerably longer.
