When it comes to capturing the unique mineral tones of Vouvray’s soil, no one quite competes with Bernard Fouquet — a quiet, serious man who has been making some of the region’s best wines of the past few vintages. Crafted from 50 to 60 year-old vines, his ‘Cuvée de Silex’ (“silex” means “flint” in French) has explosively bright fruit and just a touch of sweetness. Simply a gorgeous wine!
Ready to drink, but may age 3-5 years.

Effusive aromas of pear, melon, chamomile, and acacia on the nose. Plush with yellow plum skins and textured mineral on the palate. Finishes fresh with slight hints of blanched almond and sea spray. Hip and slightly funky orange wine!
