Somlo is the small appellation in all of Hungary, based on a dormant volcano with incredibly steep hills. This wine is pure delight. Round and ripe with ever present note of summer peaches and peach blossom with honeycomb that is lifted by complex intersection of basil and wintergreen.
Classic Islay peated malt that is non-chill filtered and has a higher than normal ABV for a standard expression. The result is a beautifully rich and peaty dram that has a nice sweetness of the front end to balance the overall headiness.
