Refund Policy - Eastside Cellars

Eastside Cellars : Return Policy

New York State law permits us to accept the return of goods that show defects such as cork taint or damages.

Given the organic nature of wine and spirits, we strongly believe that proper storage is crucial to maintain the quality of wine. Since we are not able to control how bottles are stored after it leaves our store, we do not issue refunds or exchanges for unopened wines.

Eastside Cellars stands behind all the wines, spirits, and sakés we sell. We will gladly accept returns on corked or damaged wine. All returns must be made within 10 days of purchase and still contain the liquid contents for verification. The original sales receipt is required for a return.

Spirits: Only unopened bottles will be accepted for return or exchange.
Red & White Wines: Only defective red wines will be accepted for store credit.
Champagnes & Sparkling wines: Will not be accepted for a return.
Sake and Ciders: Will not be accepted for a return.
Gift certificates: Will not be accepted for a return.
International Orders: Will not be accepted for a return.
Any item over 10 years of age: Will not be accepted for a return.

For returns on defective wine, if the same wine is available, you will be offered a replacement. You will also be able to exchange it for a bottle of greater value. In this case, you will be asked to provide the retail price difference, along with any applicable tax. If the wine is no longer available, the money will refunded in the original form of payment. Please note that we need the bottle returned still containing liquid to verify the defect. Bottles must be returned less than 10 days after purchase.

Personal taste cannot be the basis of a return. Not only do we offer extensive information about the wines we carry, but we are always happy to speak to you about your selections to help you make the best choices.
