Distilled at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort — Kentucky's oldest continuously operating distillery, a National Historic Landmark since 2013 — from Mash Bill #1, a low-rye recipe shared with the namesake Buffalo Trace bourbon. Eagle Rare was introduced in 1975 and has carried a ten-year age statement since arriving at Buffalo Trace in the late '80s.

Ten years minimum in new charred American oak produces a whiskey with more structure and presence than most in this range. Wine Enthusiast 96 pts; the only bourbon to win five SFWSC Double Gold medals.
