Hibiki — "resonance" in Japanese — launched in 1989 as Suntory's flagship blend, and it's held that position across the Japanese whisky boom and the shortage that followed. The 24-faceted bottle mirrors the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar; a precise detail from a producer known for them.

Harmony draws malt from Yamazaki and Hakushu, grain from Chita, aged across five oak types — American white oak, sherry casks, and rare Mizunara Japanese oak among them. It's the Mizunara that pulls sandalwood and incense into the profile and sets this apart from Scotch and American benchmarks at a similar price. No age statement, but the cask depth argues its case.
