MED-BODIED, RED FRUIT, BAKING SPICE, FLORAL, NEUTRAL OAK

Aromas of clean red and black fruit with hints of green herbs and stems. On the palate, the bramble fruit and cassis is most dominate with great mineral structure with an overlay of strawberry notes. Super vibrant. Youthful and robust finish.

Named after Lilly, the winery dog of husband-and-wife team Hans-Bert Espe and Silke Wolf. Farmed organically from old vines north of the Kaiserstuhl — limestone and loess soils where cooler temperatures and Black Forest air give Baden Pinot Noir its characteristic freshness. Unfiltered and unpumped, one year in neutral oak. James Suckling, 91 pts.
