Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne 750ml
FRANCE : CHAMPAGNE : NV
CONVENTIONAL : Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay
MED-BODIED, LEMON, APRICOT, BRIOCHE, VANILLA PASTRY, NEUTRAL OAK
The Yellow Label is assembled from 50 to 60 crus across the Champagne appellation, with Pinot Noir leading at roughly half the composition. Up to 45% reserve wine — including examples aged in small oak casks over decades — gives the blend a depth that outperforms its non-vintage status.
Founded in 1772, the house became one of the most historically significant in Champagne when Madame Clicquot invented the riddling table in 1816 — the technique still used to clarify sparkling wine worldwide. Today LVMH-owned and producing around 20 million bottles a year, Yellow Label remains the reference point for what a well-made Brut Champagne should taste like at this price.
PAIRINGS :
| Freshly shucked oysters | minerality and citrus cut through the brine |
| Smoked salmon blinis | brioche notes mirror the richness of salmon and crème fraîche |
| Comté or Gruyère | the wine's nutty, toasty edge finds its match in aged cow's milk cheese |
