Moretto is Aldo’s longer-macerated red blend — 50% Nerello Mascalese and 40% Perricone from younger vines on a coastal plot 30km from Alcamo, and 10% Syrah from ancient bush vines in the same hot, dry microclimate near the sea.

The three varieties are fermented separately with native yeasts, Syrah spending the longest time on its skins. Half ages in stainless steel for freshness; the other half rests six months in small used wooden barrels. Unfiltered, unfined, and carrying trace sulfur only.
