Bardstown Bourbon Company distills this rye entirely in-house — grown, fermented, and aged in Bardstown, Kentucky, where it spends six years in American white oak before a second pass through a proprietary "zebra" barrel. That vessel is BBC's own design: alternating staves of toasted cherry wood and American oak, assembled in a repeating pattern and heat-treated via infrared to exacting spec.

The 95% rye mash bill delivers white flower, dill, and rye spice; six years in standard oak built the structural foundation; up to six months in the cherry wood finish pulled the palate toward stone fruit and softened the edges without burying the grain character. Whisky Advocate gave it 93 points. The 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition awarded it Double Gold.
