A 50ml pour of the Orendains' flagship blanco — one of four founding tequila families in Mexico, at it since 1840. Fully mature agave, 18 hours of cooking, double-distillation through pot and column stills. Tropical fruit up front (pineapple, cantaloupe), honeysuckle on the nose, white pepper and a coconut thread on the palate. Wine Enthusiast called it 94 Best Buy. At this size and price, the argument makes itself.
