Can Majoral was founded in 1979 in Algaïda, central Mallorca, and became the first certified organic winery on the island in 1994. Mantonegro is the most planted indigenous red grape in Mallorca — aromatic, elegant, and structurally light in a way that makes it closer to Beaujolais in spirit than to Rioja. Expressive of the Mediterranean without the over-ripeness that warmer coastal vintages can produce.
Fermented in stainless steel with two weeks of gentle cap work, then aged 10 months in a clay jar and a 500-liter French oak barrel — not cold stabilized.
