Chianti Colli Senesi is the Chianti grown outside the Classico zone, in the hills of the Siena province — a wide sub-appellation that reaches west to take in the high ground around San Gimignano. The Cesani estate sits in Pancole, just outside those medieval towers, farmed organically since the family's founding in 1949 and certified after three years of conversion.
Cement tanks and indigenous yeasts keep the winemaking transparent — what you get is the grape and the site, not the cellar. The 2021 is drawn from a hot, dry vintage that built concentration; cool nights and Sangiovese's natural acidity keep it lively rather than heavy.
