South Africa : Stellenbosch
MED-BODIED, CITRUS, WILD STRAWBERRY, PEACH FUZZ, ROSE PETAL, USED OAK
Forget that Stellenbosch isn’t exactly known for Pinot Gris: this minimal-intervention, skin-contact wine from Craven Wines allows the beautiful (and oft underappreciated) coppery/dark rose hues of the grape’s skins to shine as they should -- allowing clean red fruit, lively citrus, and pretty floral notes met with delicate, balanced tannins.
WINEMAKING : Fermentation occurs naturally on the skins; no additions other than a small amount of SO2; unfined and unfiltered.
PAIRING: Peppered Beef Jerky
ITALY : TRENTINO-ALTO ADIGE : VIGNETI DELLE DOLOMITI
LIGHT-BODIED, ORCHARD FRUIT, CRISP, NO OAK
Expressive aromas of white apple blossoms; ripe yellow apple with lime zest and orange pith on the palate. Good finish.
FRANCE : CHAMPAGNE : VALLÉ DE LA MARNE
Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier
FULL-BODIED, GOLDEN APPLE, HONEY, DOUGH, SPICE, TEA, OAK
Completely stunning grower Champagne for an unbeatable value!
…The 'Assemblage' from Champagne André Heucq is plush and luxurious, with deliciously rich, over-ripe and baked golden apple, candied fruit, white pepper, and warm bready/toasty notes laid over a soft, creamy mousse.
