75% old-vine Carignan from Poor Ranch in Hopland — a fifth-generation certified-organic vineyard dry-farmed since 1888 on volcanic hillsides — colored up with 25% high-elevation Syrah from Sumu Kaw in El Dorado County at 3,000 feet. Charlie Miller treats the Carignan as a dark rosé: destemmed, foot-tread, pressed, fermented in neutral oak; the Syrah goes in 50% whole-cluster. Each lot spends a few months in barrel before blending. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, zero sulfur. 60 cases.
