Domaine Isle Saint-Pierre sits on a small island in the Rhône River, 25 kilometers south of Arles and barely a half-hour's drive from the Mediterranean. The water proximity moderates temperatures in both directions, and the island's deep, sandy sedimentary soils drain freely, keeping the vines on their toes through southern France's dry season. Julien Henry is the fourth generation to farm here; the estate earned its Vignerons Développement Durable sustainability certification in 2018.
The Blanc is assembled from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat, pneumatically pressed and fermented cold with no oak contact. Deliberately light on its feet — a bistro white with enough mineral edge and citrus brightness to work through an entire meal without demanding attention.
