The Moutard family has been growing grapes since 1642, mostly in Champagne’s Côte des Bar — which is why their Burgundy estate, Domaine Moutard-Diligent, sits just a few miles south in the Tonnerois, on the same Kimmeridgian limestone soils. The result is a Bourgogne Rouge with more lightness and freshness than you’d expect: this is cool-climate Pinot from a corner of Burgundy that still feels like a secret.

François Moutard harvests by hand and keeps winemaking minimal — about a week of maceration, then roughly 8 months split between stainless steel and neutral oak. The 2023 vintage brought an unusually large crop of Pinot Noir across Burgundy; the wines reward with concentrated red fruit and pronounced floral lift without any heaviness.
