Don Julio Tequila Anejo 1942 375ml
Don Julio Tequila Anejo 1942 375ml
MEXICO : JALISCO HIGHLANDS
100% Blue Weber Agave — 24+ months ex-bourbon American White Oak
FULL-BODIED, VANILLA, DARK CARAMEL, CINNAMON, TOASTED OAK
Named for the year Don Julio González founded La Primavera distillery at age 17, 1942 is the prestige añejo in the Don Julio lineup. This is the 375ml format — the same spirit as the standard bottle, sized for gifting or a first try.
Slow-cooked in masonry ovens, fermented with a proprietary house yeast, double-distilled in copper pot stills, then aged a minimum of 24 months in small ex-bourbon American White Oak barrels. The Jalisco Highlands clay soils and high-elevation growing conditions concentrate sugar in the agave — which shows in the weight and sweetness of the finished spirit. Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition both 2022 and 2023.
SUGGESTED SERVES :
| Neat | the full vanilla, chocolate, and mango profile — uninterrupted |
| Single large rock | slows dilution, softens the alcohol edge without burying the caramel richness |
| Splash of water | opens the caramel and spice; a few drops is enough |
80 Proof
