Brothers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti built their family winery in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo in 2002 — a project rooted in a site they first fell in love with as enology students and spent years targeting. Finca Victoria (named for their mother) anchors the lower-elevation fruit; high-altitude vineyards in La Consulta, in the cooler southern Uco Valley, supply the structure and mineral depth. The Clásico blends both — native yeast fermentation, twelve months in new American oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered. 91 pts. James Suckling.
