Fox Run has been farming fifty acres of east-facing, glacial-soil vineyards on the west bank of Seneca Lake since 1990, and Cabernet Franc is one of the varieties this site grows best. The 2022 vintage gave the region extra hang time through October, yielding small, concentrated berries with clean aromatics and natural energy.
The result is precise and food-friendly: bright aromas of red raspberry, strawberry, and a touch of plum, with a layer of dried herbs that develops with air. Medium-bodied on the palate, with crunchy red fruit, savory notes, soft tannins, and fresh acidity. 89 pts, Wine Enthusiast.
