Caffo has been distilling in Limbadi, Calabria since 1915 — four generations of a family that treats local ingredients as the whole argument. Limoncino dell'Isola is made from the zest of fresh Calabrian lemons and nothing artificial; the color is the pale yellow of real lemonade, not the neon green of mass-market limoncello.

The palate runs tart first, then eases into faintly honeyed sweetness without going candied — a distinction that matters when most limoncelli tip too far toward sweet. Wine Enthusiast called it a Best Buy. Falstaff awarded 94 points in their Best of Digestifs competition.
