Spring River is named for the ancient aqueduct — Nachal HaPirim — that carried water from the Judean Heights to Jerusalem in the time of King Herod, more than 2,000 years ago. The surrounding hilltops are now planted with Gush Etzion's vineyards, situated at 700+ meters above sea level where cool mountain nights protect acidity through even the hottest summers.
Founded in 2005 by Shraga Rozenberg and now co-made with his son Assaf, the winery ferments this Bordeaux blend in temperature-controlled stainless steel and ages it 12 months in French oak. Not Mevushal. Certified Kosher for Passover by OU, Badatz Beit Yosef.
