A-Grafo translates roughly as "uncharted" — a nod to the Agrafa mountains that frame the Karditsa valley and, more pointedly, to the grape itself. Kontozisis Organic Vineyards has been farming these plots since 1991, certified organic from the start, and the estate's work with Limniona helped bring the variety back from near-obscurity as a blending component.
The wine spends 25 days in stainless steel on its skins — spontaneous fermentation only, ambient temperature, no press — then six months on lees before bottling with zero sulfites added. What comes through is the variety's signature: floral and a little wild on the nose, smooth on entry, then firming up with herb-driven tannin and a long, savory finish.
