Gianfranco Kozlović is the largest private grower of Malvasia in Istria — four generations deep in the Valle Valley, with vines up to 64 years old on flysch and limestone soils ("Terra Bianca") at 200–240 meters elevation. The "Malvazija" is the house flagship: 150,000 bottles annually, fermented with non-commercial yeasts in stainless steel, then aged seven months before a small addition of barrel-fermented Malvasia is blended in at bottling for texture.

The result is more substantial than the aromatics suggest — mineral and mouth-watering, with real body behind the floral nose. Gold at Vinistra 2024 for this vintage.
