Gianfranco Kozlović farms the Valle Valley below Momjan, where the family has worked since 1904 and is now four generations deep, with vines up to 64 years old on the flysch, limestone and white clay the Istrians call "Terra Bianca" at 200 to 240 meters. The "Malvazija" is the house flagship: 150,000 bottles a year, fermented with non-commercial yeasts in stainless steel, then aged seven months before a small addition of barrel-fermented Malvasia is blended in at bottling for texture.

The result is more substantial than the aromatics suggest, mineral and mouth-watering, with real body behind the floral nose. The producer calls it an early release and puts the drinking window at 2026 through 2029.
