Maeli farms the ancient volcanic soils of the Euganean Hills south of Padua, where trachyte and basalt give wines a distinctive salty-mineral energy rarely found in Veneto reds. "La Donna Cavatappi" — the corkscrew lady — is a blend of 30-year-old vines aged predominantly in concrete, letting the fruit and geology speak without oak distortion.
