Majolini sits at the northeastern edge of Franciacorta — higher altitude than the flatter denominazione floor, with Medolo limestone running through both the vine roots and the winery walls above. That minerality is the house signature, and the Altéra carries it cleanly.

The wine is 9,000 bottles of Pinot Nero, with a Chardonnay component, cold-macerated six to eight hours for color and red-fruit depth, then fermented in steel and aged 24 months on the lees in bottle — released only when the vintage earns it. Wine Enthusiast 89 pts.
