McNab Ridge is a fourth-generation Parducci family estate in Ukiah, Mendocino County — Rich Parducci’s great-grandfather Adolph founded one of California’s oldest wineries in 1932, and the family has been farming Mendocino grapes ever since. The Carisma is their semi-sweet, lightly chillable Syrah: floral, fruit-forward, and built for the table rather than the cellar.

Serve chilled. Producer recommends it with spicy food — the sweetness counters heat in a way a dry red can’t.
