Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche have farmed without herbicides in Ludes since 2003, hand-harvesting 9 hectares across the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs — each parcel vinified separately with ambient yeasts and aged en tirage under cork rather than crown cap.
The current release blends 70% of the solar 2022 base with 30% perpetual reserve from a solera Jean-Pierre Bérêche began in 1985, disgorged October 2024 at 6 g/L. No malolactic keeps the acidity direct and mineral despite the vintage's warmth. Vinous 91 pts: "cranberry, mint, white pepper, slate and dried flowers." Wine Advocate 92.
