Distilled at the Yamazaki distillery — Japan's first malt whisky distillery, founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1923 at the confluence of three rivers between Osaka and Kyoto — the 12-year expression draws from three cask types: American oak for tropical fruit and coconut, Spanish sherry for dried fruit and spice, and rare Japanese mizunara for its signature incense and sandalwood.
