Distilled at the Yamazaki distillery outside Osaka — Japan's first commercial whisky distillery, founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1923 — the 12-year expression ages across a combination of American oak, Spanish sherry casks, and rare Japanese mizunara oak. Each wood type contributes distinct character: tropical fruit and coconut from bourbon casks, spice and sweetness from sherry, and the incense and sandalwood notes unique to mizunara. A landmark single malt.
