Tenuta Luisa has farmed 110 hectares in Corona — a hamlet of Mariano del Friuli in the Gorizia province — since 1907. The estate sits squarely in the Friuli Isonzo DOC, where the Bora wind blows down from the Carnic Alps and keeps humidity low enough to eliminate most fungal pressure. That natural air conditioning is why Isonzo whites carry gripping acidity at ABVs that would otherwise feel heavy.
Michele Luisa runs the winery; his brother Davide manages the vineyards with no herbicides, no synthetic chemicals, and indigenous wild herbs composted in place. The Sauvignon is fermented entirely in stainless steel. Falstaff awarded 91 points and Trophy Friuli Venezia Giulia status to the 2024: "precise, gripping acidity, medium-long, salty finish."
