Terres Blondes is an importer-backed label from Martine's Wines — the firm that has sourced Loire Valley producers for the US market since 1979. Fruit comes from organically-farmed parcels in the Cher Valley, a quiet back-country stretch of Touraine where Gamay grows in sandy, gravelly soils over clay and rarely gets the attention it deserves.
Whole-cluster semi-carbonic maceration ferments the grapes from the inside out, pulling vivid red fruit while leaving the tannins soft and the finish clean. No wood. Nothing in the way. Serve it lightly chilled and make it your house red.
