Tinto de Rulo is a small-batch project from two agronomists, Claudio Contreras and Jaime Pereira, who have been working with old-vine País in southern Chile's Bío-Bío since 2013. Grapes come from organic, dry-farmed vineyards planted 60–100 years ago on granitic soils at 300m — material that most of the industry left behind.

Clusters are crushed through a zaranda (a bamboo mesh screen), fermented naturally in clay tinajas and used raulí barrels for three weeks with daily manual stirring, then aged seven months in old raulí pipas. No additions. Serve with a slight chill.
