A splash of Syrah — around 5% — turns the estate's usual pale Sauvignon Blanc a light ruby pink, without touching the aromatic profile that made Marlborough famous in the first place. Fermented in stainless with zero oak contact, it keeps the region's signature lime-forward acidity intact underneath a new layer of raspberry and watermelon.
Tokoeka Estate traces back to Antonio De Filippo, who emigrated from Italy in 1955 and built an underground winery on the family property by hand — a lineage now four generations deep. The name comes from the Tokoeka, a rare native kiwi, by way of Maori legend.
