Turley's entry-level Zinfandel pulls from 27 vineyards across 11 California counties — every block farmed organically under CCOF certification or in process. "Juvenile" refers to the vines themselves, 6 to 25 years old, and the wine carries that energy: native-yeast fermentation, 12 months in 80% French oak (5% new), bottled unfined at 15.2%.
Think less of Turley's muscular single-vineyard releases and more of a perfumed, mid-weight Zinfandel — fresh cherry, brambly red fruit, and a pepper-and-spice thread that runs nose to finish. Vinous scored the 2024 vintage 91 points: “an especially delicate, gracious Zinfandel.”
