Central Valley is Chile's workhorse region for accessible Sauvignon Blanc — riper and rounder than the coastal, herbaceous style out of Casablanca, built on Andean-cooled nights and reliable snowmelt irrigation. This bottling comes from Viña Requingua, a family winery founded in Curicó in 1961 and now three generations deep, made under consultant winemaker Benoit Fitte, French-trained and now a specialist in Chilean terroir.

It's made without the usual commercial additions — no added tartaric acid or sucrose, carrot protein instead of animal-derived fining — and ships under screw cap for immediate drinking, not the cellar. Expect white pear and apple up front, melon and citrus through the middle, and a gravelly, mineral finish with real length for the price.
