Twomey's Russian River Valley Pinot Noir — the label's first wine, made since 2002 — blends fruit from Last Stop estate in the Green Valley sub-appellation (roughly two-thirds of the blend) with Westpin, Bailey, and Bartolomei vineyards reaching from the Sebastopol Hills to the Middle Reach. The multi-site approach, with Calera, Mt. Eden, Swan, and Dijon clones, produces a Pinot that reads as a full AVA portrait rather than a single-vineyard statement.
Aged in 100% French oak (one-third new) for 10 to 14 months, the 2022 carries 14.1% ABV but stays composed — credit a challenging vintage defined by drought, spring frost, a May hailstorm, and selective fruit thinning that tightened the ripening window. Suckling 93 pts; Decanter 92.
