The Pizzoli family found this vineyard half-forgotten on inherited land in 1998, in a valley where Benedictine monks once gravity-fed their harvest into a three-level stone cellar carved twenty meters into the rock. The label is that cellar. What's inside is Montepulciano farmed biodynamically across the estate's Popoli and Capestrano sites — rocky, exposed ground for fragrance, hotter silty soils for structure.

Native yeast, stainless steel, no oak — the winemaking stays out of the way. What lands in the glass is bright and immediate, blueberry and cherry over a licorice-and-herb edge, built for the table rather than the cellar.
