Wódka is one of the last estate-grown Polish rye vodkas on the market — distilled near Kalisz, a city whose rye-growing history dates to its time as a Roman trading post, from Dankowskie golden winter rye, the recognized standard for serious Polish vodka. Column distilled five times, twice filtered through Polish-grown birch charcoal, bottled in the States without additives.

Wine Enthusiast gave it 90 points and a Best Buy. The argument holds: sweet rye grain, a faint marshmallow and coconut note, and a clean peppery finish. It earns the shelf space in a home bar the same way it earns a wells spot in a bar program — by being honest about what it is.
