Voskehat is one of the world's oldest cultivated white grapes — grown in these Armenian mountains for over 3,000 years. Zulal sources from fifty-year-old ungrafted vines grown in volcanic rock at 5,000 feet above sea level in the Vayots Dzor gorge, where wide diurnal temperature swings preserve natural acidity and aromatics through the summer heat.
Founder Aimee Keushguerian launched Zulal in 2017 to bring indigenous Armenian varieties to international wine culture. Stainless steel vinification throughout — no oak, no softening, just the grape and the stone. The name means "pure" in Armenian.
